Dr Asaad Moosa is an AI and cyber security industry leader with more than twenty years of experience across IT, cloud computing, cyber security and artificial intelligence. He founded USPC to bring together the three disciplines an AI-first enterprise depends on — AI transformation, security assurance and data — under a single, accountable partner.
Most recently he served as Head of AI and Security Governance at Telenor Group, the global telecommunications company headquartered in Oslo, Norway — building an enterprise AI Management System aligned to ISO 42001 and the EU AI Act, and deploying agentic automation that cut manual GRC effort by around 80%. Before that he was Chief Information Security Officer in the British defence sector in London, where he held UK defence security clearance, built a global Security Operations Centre and achieved ISO 27001 certification across a worldwide scope at the first attempt. He is also a Global Advisory Board member for EC-Council’s Incident Handling programme.
Dr Asaad holds a PhD in Computer Science from the UK (2007–2010), specialising in AI and cyber security. He lectured in Computer Science at the University of Reading for several years and is a visiting lecturer at the University of Cambridge, where he teaches and trains the next generation of cyber security leaders.
